How We Started
We started in 2009 when Lesley Breithaupt was diagnosed with breast cancer for the 2nd time. A group of friends got together and hosted the 1st Annual Lesley Breithaupt Golf Benefit, to help with financial costs for Lesley & her family to travel to MD Anderson in Texas, for her cancer treatments.
After the experience everyone involved decided to keep “Paying It Forward” and we formed The Wellsville Friends Foundation. We are a foundation of 12 board members & this foundation is a very large part of all of our lives. We meet many times throughout the year to plan events, discuss who in our community is in need & open the discussion for any & all new ideas; we are very passionate about what we do. We may be a small foundation in a small community but our heart & souls are big. We believe every small step we take eventually leads to some very big possibilities for those in need. We hope you can join us in this battle.
